When it comes to fulfilling its pledges in the trilateral memorandum of understanding, we have seen that Finland has taken authentic and concrete steps,
We have decided to start the protocol of Finland's accession to NATO in our parliament,
I warmly welcome the requests by Finland and Sweden to join NATO,
It is not excluded that Sweden and Finland will ratify in different steps,
Sweden and Finland are both strong, capable partners that share NATO’s values and will strengthen the Alliance and contribute to European security,
We understood earlier on that you have done your decision and signing it today confirms that the Turkish parliament starts to work with ratification of Finnish membership,
We will bring forward the parliamentary vote (on Finland's NATO accession) to March 27 and will unanimously vote yes,
It was known that once President Erdogan has for his part made the decision concerning the ratification of Finland's NATO membership, he would wish to meet and fulfil his promise directly from President to President,
NATO had so far insisted that Finland and Sweden must access as a package,
Sweden has done what it promised to do when signing the trilateral memorandum,
With Finland’s admission, I believe NATO will further strengthen and play a crucial role in global security,
I have a feeling that Finnish NATO membership is not complete without Sweden,
Not gaining ratification at the same time as Finland is not good for Sweden,
At this point, how the process will progress will be directly tied to the concrete steps that Sweden will take,
Welcoming Finland and Sweden into the alliance will make them safer, NATO stronger and the Euro-Atlantic area more secure,
Turkey is one of the strong defenders of Nato’s open-door policy,
I believe sincerely that there will be a deal today announced by both presidents that Turkey will ratify the accession protocol of Finland, probably by mid-April, because in mid-April the parliament will go into recess because of elections,
With regard to Sweden, I believe we will have to wait for a while,
If you do not show respect to the religious beliefs of the Republic of Turkiye or Muslims, you will not receive any support for NATO [membership] from us,
While there is now a president who commands a majority in parliament, the next president, whoever is elected, will likely not have a majority in parliament,
We have been taking every step hand-in-hand and none of us have any other ambition,
I hope this decision will be in the best interest of our countries as well as our alliance,
Sweden has opened its arms to terrorists,
It’s not complete without Sweden,
We call on Hungary and Türkiye to fulfill their obligations to the transatlantic family and vote on both accession protocols without further delay,
I'm confident also that Sweden will join soon, and I will work hard for that,
Now it's enough to persuade to President Erdogan, but several parties will need to be persuaded after the election,
But we have a neighbor, Sweden,
Investors would like to see a Turkish pivot back towards closer relations with its traditional Western allies,
It is very good to hear this news,
This is a development that we did not want, but that we were prepared for,
If you carry your bilateral problems into a multilateral organization, such as NATO, then you are creating a kind of polarization with all the other NATO members with your country,
I have known Erdogan for a long time. I am sure he has important messages,
