Three unidentified women will be the first to be released by the terror group, 15 months after they were snatched during the October 7 massacres.
In Israel, the families of hostages who endured 15 months of captivity under Hamas are in a state of anticipation and preparation as they await their loved ones’ return.
The deal, which is supposed to go into effect on Sunday, is made up of three stages: in the first 42-daylong phase, 33 Israeli hostages are expected to be released at the end of each week in exchange for hundreds of Palestinians held in Israeli jails.
Israel will release Palestinian prisoners as part of the deal.
