The winds were like something that I’ve never seen before. Firefighters, police officers, deputies, they’re out there sheltering in their vehicles, in their trucks and their cars, so that they don’t end up getting burned from the fire,
Firefighters here on the line, they’re exhausted. You can see it in their eyes, but they’re not leaving here until they have relief,
Last night was one of the most devastating and terrifying nights that we’ve seen in any part of our city, at any part of our history,
I’m happy that it’s standing right now, but I don’t have a lot of hope,
They saved many, many lives in the last 22 hours,
This is a tragic time in our history here in Los Angeles, but a time when we’re really tested and see who we really are,
Fire literally jumping roads, taking out structures, and our public safety professionals created an environment where injuries were kept to a minimum. Fatalities were kept to a minimum,
I don’t know who all these guys are who are helping to save my house right now but I’m very grateful,
But make no mistake, Los Angeles will rebuild stronger than ever,
It's probably climate change affecting everything,
The county turned off our water supply so we're out there with shovels throwing dirt on fires,
Hopefully the insurance can pay for most of it, if not, then we're going to have to stay with friends or someone,
My son left the house before us on foot, he doesn't have a cell phone or anything like that, so I'm searching for him now,
It is a terrifying situation and I'm grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze
