Brazilian court orders suspension of Elon Musk’s X after it missed deadline

The blockade marks an escalation in a monthslong feud between Musk and de Moraes over free speech, far-right accounts and misinformation.

Elon Musk owned X has been asked to shut its operations in Brazil following Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes order as X failed to appoint a legal representative in the country by the deadline.

To be more specific, those people could be fined as much as nearly $9,000 per day for using X in Brazil.

Internet service providers across the nation, which is home to 215million people and was one of X's largest markets, completely blocked the platform yesterday and the country's main news sites stopped posting at the same time.
