Humza Yousaf resigns as Scotland’s First Minister
Scotland's first minister, Humza Yousaf, resigned Monday in a fresh setback for his Scottish National Party, which has been engulfed in a slow-burning crisis over a funding scandal that erupted after a popular leader, Nicola Sturgeon, stepped down last year.
The Scottish Tories and Liberal Democrats have announced their support for it but the Greens have signalled they would not back it, meaning it is likely to fail.
The SNP leader has been desperately fighting to save his skin since last week when his axing of the SNP-Green coalition backfired and the Greens vowed to back a Tory no-confidence motion in him.
