My daughter-in-law was rescued on Tuesday, and she called up from someone else’s mobile phone as they have lost everything in the landslide. There is no news about my son so far,
Those who escaped were swept away along with houses, temples and schools,
My wife’s father can’t walk well,
It was like a huge bomb sound,
We were not sure what was going to happen to us,
It’s going to be bad for the next few days,
Our thoughts are with the people of Wayanad at this difficult time,
I would like to assure the people of Kerala that the Modi government is committed to providing all possible assistance to the State Government for the rescue of the people affected by the landslide here,
Both control rooms of the Ministry of Home Affairs are monitoring the situation 24x7 and providing all possible assistance to the state,
Additional resources will be sent by the Centre as required,

Vulnerability spots are changing. Those marked vulnerable are safe whereas those non-vulnerable faced with incidents. We all know that climate change is a matter of concern. The rains that you used to get in a month's time, you are getting the same in just a few days now.”
Efforts to locate missing persons continue with all available resources,
The landslides happened at the top and then affected the lower valley areas where people were staying. Focus right now is to search the entire uphill area for stranded people and recover as many bodies [as possible],
Events like landslides, they are part of these climate change-triggered heavy rainfall disasters,
India will continue to see more and more of these kinds of impacts in the future,
Due to incessant rains and adverse weather conditions we have been informed by authorities that we will not be able to land,
