Hezbollah clearly stated that they have opened the front [in south Lebanon] to support Hamas against Israel’s invasion. But as a Lebanese citizen … Hezbollah did not consult anyone when it took this decision,
Nobody wants a war now, but it is Israel that is the one waging conflict,
We will have to separate between civilians and military people,
The situation [in Lebanon] is not black and white. I won’t stand by Israel’s colonial project or another imperialism that has committed atrocities in Syria during the uprising,
We will not accept – in our region where [our constituents] exist – any military platforms that might lead to military repercussions,
The de-sectarian region – no more Sunni/Shia tensions like during the Syrian war – is going to make the climate more favourable for Hezbollah,
Many Christian leaders are opposed to Hezbollah’s decision to open a front against Israel,
Israel will weaponise whatever it can weaponise [against Hezbollah],
They should invade Israel and what happens, happens,
As it is obvious from the weapons of our dear ones in Palestine, Lebanon and elsewhere, it has now become clear that they are in fact being helped and supplied by Iran,
We are hopeful of the arrival of the opportunity for [conducting] Operation True Promise 2,
All Lebanese people, Arab countries and members of the Axis of Resistance will support Lebanon against Israel,
We are in the incubation phase of greater militia coordination. As Hamas fights Israel, Hezbollah is drawing resources from the south toward the north, while proxies in Yemen and Iraq are trying to synchronize their fire against the Jewish state,
In that situation, we would have no choice, but to support Hezbollah by all means,
That large a volley of cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and drones was designed to kill just as much as it was designed to send a message,
I don't believe Hezbollah actually wants a war,
I think China's objectives are clear. Over time, over the coming decades, they would like to be the leading country, the dominant country in the international system, militarily, economically, diplomatically, that's clear,
None of the main actors actually want a war.”
