Russia claims victory in Donetsk city of Kurakhove

Ukrainian monitoring group DeepState, which tracks the front line using open sources, showed most of Kurakhove under Russian control.

Ukrainian forces renewed their offensive inside the Kursk region in western Russia over the weekend, having first launched its surprise attack last August.

Russia's troops have been advancing in the eastern Donetsk region — which Moscow claimed to have annexed in 2022 — for months.
