Rescuers in the Philippines were diving into a lake and scouring isolated villages on Sunday to locate dozens of missing people as the death toll from Tropical Storm Trami hit 100.
Talisay, about 70 kilometers (43 miles) south of Manila, was one of several towns ravaged by Tropical Storm Trami — the deadliest of 11 storms to hit the Philippines this year.
Police in the hardest-hit Bicol region have recorded 38 deaths, most due to drowning.
Authorities are still searching for the 36 missing people who were either buried in landslides or washed away by the floods.
