They (the Americans) started saying there will be a stop to the aggression and that there was going to be a ceasefire, and to hold off. And that is why we took our time. We didn't tell anyone we would take our time but honestly we took our time to give room for these negotiations. Our main goal in this front and all this blood lost and all these sacrifices is to stop the aggression on Gaza,
If the result is not enough, then we retain the right to respond another time.
Further escalation in the Middle East must be avoided at all costs.
The intent of Hezbollah was to target intelligence bases such as the Mossad headquarters
The pre-emptive attack of the Israeli Air Force ... We have no desire for a regional war at the moment, we want to contain the attack as much as possible, however we will take every measure to protect Israel's citizens.

Our goal … is to end the aggression on Gaza, so we gave it enough of an opportunity, but after all this time, it is clear that [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu is putting in new conditions and the Americans are working with him and this is all a waste of time, so there was no reason to delay any longer,

We have destabilized Hezbollah, and their operation failed,
We need to use the negotiations to bring about the release of hostages, and through the release of the hostages, also open the possibility of creating a resolution in the north, and later, to calm the region,
Even as this unfolds, the UK Government and the international community would urge all parties not to escalate further and to avoid a major regional war
We discussed our shared concern to avoid escalation and wider regional conflict.
Due to high tensions in the region, the security environment remains complex and can change quickly,
We need to stop all the bombing, get the hostages back home, spend real resources on humanitarian relief in Gaza and most of all, give a hard shove to both parties in order to keep them at the negotiating table,
The most urgent issue right now is ending this awful conflict in the Middle East, bringing about a cease fire, and stopping this from expanding to a wider arena,
In light of worrying developments across the Blue Line since the early morning, UNSCOL and UNIFIL call on all to cease fire and refrain from further escalatory action,
Before travelling within Israel or the OPTs , check the local measures in place, that roads are open and, where appropriate, that scheduled train and bus services are operating,
