It is important to the government that Greenlanders can live in Denmark without being met with prejudice, which unfortunately is not the reality today,
Recent events have clearly shown that racism against Greenlanders exists in certain circles and especially on social media,
If Trump tried to buy Greenland, he would have to ask London first,
The Danes are utterly freaked out by this,
In the end, it's all about keeping the country strong economically, and the things that the president is doing and the things he's talking about, I think there's a very compelling argument on Panama, a very compelling argument on Greenland and optimism in America that we haven't seen in a long time,
I mean, one of the reasons you see other countries - Saudis, and others - wanting to invest in America is because they see America now as an attractive place to invest, knowing full well that they're going to have a different economic environment to deal with when it comes to taxes, and regulation, and energy, and a whole range of other issues,
Trump is quite different from almost all previous leaders since the early Middle Ages. He does not even pretend - with Greenland or Gaza or international aid - to be acting for just reasons. The impact of this naked abuse of power will be staggering."
I think there's been a real -- this has been a sluggish country, a country that's been bogged down under the weight of government regulation, and red tape, and taxation, and this is a president and a team working with him in the House and the Senate that wants to liberate the American people and investors,
I am hearing that the people of Greenland are 'MAGA'
I don't really know what claim Denmark has to it, but it would be a very unfriendly act if they didn't allow that to happen because it's for the protection of the free world,
It has nothing to do with the United States other than that we're the one that can provide freedom. They can't,
Greenland is almost a kind of ground zero for how the Arctic has become more and more geopolitically and strategically significant,
As the Arctic ice flow has changed in the recent past, and is projected to continue changing, opening up Arctic shipping routes, you have several lucrative potentials there,
With China's rise and its tripling the size of its ICBM ballistic missile arsenal, Greenland plays a national defense role because of its geography,
I think we’re going to have it,
That would send a strong signal and could contribute to stability in the region,
In my view, it would make perfect sense not only to station U.S. forces in Greenland, as is currently the case, but also to consider stationing EU soldiers there,
Ultimately, however, this is a political decision in which many interests must be taken into account,
I view it as, honestly, a country that should be a state,
I do believe Greenland, we’ll get because it really has to do with freedom of the world,
