I think this makes it clear it was the right call,
When information is stolen or leaked, there are repercussions beyond the immediate security impact,
We’re in the middle of a pretty rapidly changing policy and regulatory landscape that views any policy that might advantage any one group of people over another as something that is unlawful,
We take leaks seriously and will take action,
We try to be really open and then everything I say leaks,
The government can sort of be actively opposing you, trying to get in the way and add a lot of friction, or can be actively trying to help you break down barriers to help you,
This year feels a little more like a sprint to me
I want to be clear, after the last several years, we now have an opportunity to have a productive partnership with the United States government,
We're going to get back to our roots and focus on reducing mistakes, simplifying our policies and restoring free expression on our platforms
It’s embarrassment and shame that feels self-inflicted, different than mistakes the company has made in the past.
This is a marathon, not a sprint,
I want to be able to be able to talk about stuff openly, but I am also trying to like, well, we're trying to build stuff and create value in the world, not destroy value by talking about stuff that inevitably leaks,
This is also going to be a big year for redefining our relationship with governments,
We now have a U.S. administration that is proud of our leading companies, prioritizes American technology winning and that will defend our values and interests abroad,
