Qatar is set to host Gaza ceasefire talks on Thursday, seeking a so-far elusive agreement that the United States hopes will stop Iran from striking Israel and avert a wider war.
An Israeli delegation led by Mossad Director David Barnea and Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar will depart for Doha on Thursday, where talks over a Gaza cease-fire and hostage release deal will restart.
It has been promising a retaliatory strike after Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran last month.
On Tuesday, Hamas fired two rockets aimed at Tel Aviv for the first time in months while Israel launched separate deadly airstrikes in Gaza.
