I think President Trump believes that they could easily solve the immigration problem for the US, and they could make a big dent in the fentanyl problem,
He's using trade as a tool to exact other policies. It's his leverage,
Donald Trump is doing exactly what any rational person would do understanding economics,
I hope we get the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act re-upped,
In order for that leverage to be true, in order for that leverage to really work, you have to be convinced that you will put those tariffs on,
And I hope we get deregulation, we get cutting in government spending, and we go to a supply-side economy where we have a low rate broad-based flat tax, spending restraint, sound money, minimal regulations, free trade,
I hope we get tariffs reduced dramatically, and non-tariff barriers reduced, and quotas reduced,
KEVIN O’LEARY isn’t authorized to speak on behalf of Canadians, and I frankly don’t believe he is speaking on behalf of Canadians [with] what he’s saying. If he was negotiating on our side, I think that would be totally fine. But he’s not, he’s negotiating against us so I don’t think it’s a helpful solution right now.”
A 25 percent tariff, it doesn’t make sense — it doesn’t jive. And I think it speaks to a dilemma of the Trump administration, of either pursuing a growth agenda or the tariff agenda. And the tariff agenda is [to] the contrary of economic growth.”

It would be extremely damaging to our economy,
This isn’t a long process to set the stage,
It has nothing to do with that,
I think you could call it the blueprint and the foundation for the tariffs and trade policies that may or may not emerge over the next 100 days,
I'll quote my predecessor Richard [Galanti]. He'd say when it rains, it rains on everybody. And I think for us, we faced tariffs in the past, and we believe that our merchants and buyers are equipped, as anybody is, to sort of work through and navigate and manage that situation."
One tariff will follow another in response and so on, until we put our common businesses at risk,
Regarding the decrees that President Donald Trump signed yesterday, I would like to say the following: The people of Mexico can be sure that we will always defend our sovereignty and our independence,
We will go to the extent of cutting off their energy — going down to Michigan, going down to New York State and over to Wisconsin.”
Our country is absolutely ready to respond to any one of these scenarios,
