Calls for Verstappen to be DISQUALIFIED after ramming Russell in ‘Mario Kart move’ as Piastri wins Spanish Grand Prix
Initially appearing to comply by moving off-line at Turn Four, Verstappen then braked late and locked up his front-right tyre, making contact with the side of Russell's Mercedes as the Brit attempted to pass.
The issue began on the restart with about four laps to go in the race.
Kimi Antonelli’s Mercedes goes up in a cloud of smoke as the power unit gives up on him, sending the Italian into the gravel trap on the outside of Turn 10.
With fewer than three laps of the race remaining, Verstappen occupied the final podium place as he found himself in third position behind McLaren duo Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.
