Rescuers in the northern Philippines raced Saturday to reach people still stranded in areas made inaccessible by flooding from Tropical Storm Trami, which has displaced nearly half a million people and killed at least 87.
That brought the overall death toll from the storm to at least 65.
The death toll was expected to rise as reports come in from previously isolated areas.
Trami battered the main island of Luzon and forced nearly half a million people to flee their homes as heavy rain caused widespread floods and landslides.
