We're not done yet with our rescue work,
The water was just too much,
The floods have yet to subside. Calls asking for help are still pouring here,
We are desperate to find people in safe condition. Deep inside, I am hoping that many of those reported missing are not under the mud and boulders, but simply went somewhere without telling others,
We are still hoping for the best,
We have flood control systems but the amount of water is unmanageable. This is climate change. This is all new, so we have to come up with new solutions too,
Our main problem here is that many areas are still flooded,
It doesn't have to make landfall for the damage to occur,
Oh God, it is what it is. We just have to deal with it,
The greatest challenge here really is the thick mud. In our location, the mud is about 3m high with debris and boulders,
We saw washing machines, cars, home equipment, roofs being swept away,
We thought we were on the way to success in the business,
That's the problem we're having with Bicol, so difficult to penetrate,
We're lucky (the rain) happened in the morning, for sure many would've died if it happened at night,
He’s in shock and couldn’t speak and we’re only asking him to point to where their bedroom was located so we can dig in that part,
He's simply devastated."
Many are still trapped on the roofs of their homes and asking for help,
The area was hit by a flash flood yesterday. Our people are still in the area to check if there are other casualties,
